The French Paradox, April 12-19, 2012

The notion cedricof "The French Paradox" was born nearly twenty years ago, but it remains maddeningly relevant: despite rich foods and wine, the French stay slim. Cédric, a French native, will introduce you to the treasures of Provence, including, but not limited to, its complex wines and flavorful cuisine.  As a guest in a Bed & Breakfast near Avignon--a former wine-growing estate--you will bask in Provençal traditions and modern conveniences. Daily discoveries of flavors and savors through wine tastings and food gatherings will lead you to rue or relish the "French Paradox". Other components of this week-long initiation into the Southern French "art de vivre" include visits to markets, monuments, museums…
Cédric was born and raised in France and now lives in Tacoma, Washington. For more than twelve years, Cédric has worked in the wine industry: for a vineyard in southern France, as a wine rep and a wine consultant in the U.S. He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge of and passion for France's history, food, and wine.
