Tuscany: A Journey for the Senses LLC kicks off the 2012 season with a boutique tour designed for food and wine lovers, with splashes of art, history, culture and stylish shopping. Foodie's Italy will bring you the ultimate and most intimate Umbrian food and wine experience. The tour will be limited to 12 discerning travellers.

A devoted foodie and professional Home Economist, Wendy Aulsebrook, will be your knowledgeable guide. Having lived in Rome and Umbria for 15 years, she will lead you on a personalized journey to discover some of Italy's best kept secrets. Wendy will share her passion of traditional regional flavors and make sure you taste the unique D.O.P. food and drink the excellent D.O.C.G. wines.

Tour Highlights
• Nine nights in excellent quality four-star hotels; 1 night in a clean, comfortable hotel near the airport in order to catch an early morning flight.
• Stays in Rome, Montefalco and Norcia in Umbria.

• Two hands-on cooking classes in a winery estate
• Truffle hunt with dogs in the woods
• Visits to food markets and producers of chocolate, wine and olive oil

• Visits to artisan workshops to see hand-woven traditional Umbrian linen, papermaking and hand-painted ceramics being made
• Guided visits of Rome, Ostia Antica, and the most picturesque medieval walled towns of Montefalco, Assisi, Bevagna, Deruta, Perugia, Norcia, and Castelluccio di Norcia
• The services of experienced tour manager, Joan Hill.

Tour Cost of 3000 euro includes:
• All accommodations, double occupancy, standard room.
• 9 breakfasts, 9 lunches and 10 dinners
• Cooking classes, truffle hunt, olive oil and wine tastings
• Visits to artisan workshops
• Guided tours to various towns
• Airport transfers and all ground transportation
• Administration fees
Single Supplement: 300 euro.
Tour cost does not include airfare, optional upgrades to superior or deluxe hotel rooms, personal purchases (!), or other personal pampering.
Please register by December 31, 2011.  The absolute deadline for registration is February 15, 2012.   Upon registration and initial payment of $550 (400€) or half payment of 1500€ per person, a detailed itinerary will be provided.

To take full advantage of the tour, it is recommended that you have the ability to climb hills and walk for a distance of 1-2 km.
